Holidays

If it werent' for being able to see family more this time of year, I wouldn't be much of a fan of the holidays. Only tho, because of the colder weather. This year has been a little different tho. We have had a few cold days, but several days in November were above 70degrees!! AND just yesterday it got up to 70. BUT WAIT, look outside right now and this is what I see. Yes, it's a tad colder, and MR. SNOW decided to finally make his appearance.

Tyler and Ayva had pics done at Tylers preschool and I took a picture of it on my phone to show you. Sorry if they are fuzzy at all. Matt also took a pic of me and Ayva after I got home from doing a candle show, obviously we didn't miss eachother at all:)

Saturday, December 6th Canon City had their Festival of Lights parade downtown. I took the kids and met Connie and Bret and sat and watched. Luckily it had been a warmer day so it wasn't too bad till the end. I took a pic of one of the better floats, this was one of my favorites.

Thanksgiving!!

This year Tylers birthday happened to be on Thanksgiving. Last year it was the day before and since family was already gonna be here we celebrated on Thanksgiving after dinner. This year, we celebrated a day early because Matt had to work and I didn't want to have to do it all my self after dinner and be worn out. Matt's brother Seth and his Wife Kara were here, along with my dad and brother and his girlfriend, Trish. Also, Karas sister and Fiance joined us as well as Aunt Cheryl and Ed. We all gathered at Matt's parents house and enjoyed a wonderful meal. I luckily only had to cook the green bean casserole. Thankful for that cuz i was wore out from being sick and doing Tylers' birthday party. I can see in the future years to come how this time of year is gonna be nuts! Ayva's bday is end of September, Matt's bday couple days later, then Tylers at end of November, right with Thanksgiving. With just enough time afterwards to get ready for Christmas. Luckily my birthday waits a couple months!

Anyways, here are a few pics of the family during Thanksgiving...

Ok, so I guess I didn't take alot of pics, but here are the uncles of Tyler and Ayva. I think they look like there were having lots of fun!

Tyler Turns 3...and mommy tries to make a super Thomas The Train Cake!

Ok, so I am not really that creative. But when I try, I try to go all out. I knew with a little baby and very limited time to do these kinds of things it could be interesting, but I gave it a shot and here is how my cake turned out.

The little mountain of cupcakes unknowingly turned into the Mountain of Sodor. For those Thomas the Train fans, you know what I am talking about. Really, i just had leftover batter, so made mini cupcakes and piled them up!

The cars were way cute, Thomas was a little sad engine, but I think it turned out well for not really knowing what i was doing.

Here are more pics from Tylers birthday party...

This is the Giraffe that Matt got Tyler, although it was more for me, when Tyler was first born. We have pics of him on this giraffe when he came home, at 6 months, 1 year, 2 years and now 3 years old.

This is his 1 year picture. Digging up the pics of when he was first born. If i get them i will make a post of all of them.

New pics of the kids...

So, we are fast approaching a few important days in our lives. First, well, actually both fall on the same day. Thanksgiving, and Tylers' 3rd birthday! We will be celebrating Tyler's birthday on Wednesday with family and friends. I can't believe my little boy is a big boy now, and showing signs of boyhood. He is in the middle of potty training.. once that is finally over, it will really feel like the baby in him is gone. That part I am ok with, but I just don't want him growing up too fast now, k! Thursday, of course we will be with family and I look forward to showing off my little princess to all the family who hasnt' met her yet or seen her since birth.

She is getting her very own personality, and so far I am loving every bit of it. She is so happy and smiley and loveable. She will be a spoiled rotten little girl, but you can't spoil a baby, so it's ok. She will be two months old on November 26th. The time flies when you spend your days changing diapers, nursing, telling little boys to use the potty, and of course doing never ending loads of laundry and dishes. It's a ton of fun and I am enjoying it the best I can.

Tyler got his first cold of the season. He was nice enough to share some with mommy. So currently i am fighting it hard. I really hate to be sick while the family is here. Better me than Ayva tho.

Here are some pics from the last couple weeks.

Motorcycle pics and pumpkin carving

We enjoyed picking out our pumpkins and Daddy, Tyler and papa got the luxory of carving them. Tyler actually got his hands dirty and pulled out pumpkin seeds.
Tyler dressed up in his Thomas the Train costume for halloween and we went down to main street where the merchants were all passing out candy. There were alot of people, and he did really well. After a few blocks of walking and enough candy for a year since Tyler not allowed much :(, we went to the grandparents for a yummy dinner and surprised our friends(Tandy and her two girls) before heading home. Mommy passed out early, probably from a sugar crash!
Today we also had the kids dedicated at church. We don't make it to the service very often but we felt that this was important to have done and to try to start going when we can. They both did very good. Ayva slept thru it, and while Ayva was being prayed for, Tyler was acting up a bit, think instead of being shy like i thought he would...he was tryin to show off in front of everyone. Matt held Tyler while he was prayed for.
Luckily, we have had a longer fall than I thought we would. Last few days have been in the 70's!! So, that means nope, no snow on Halloween. I was pretty excited about that. I'm sure the cold cold weather is approaching fast. With two little ones, I dread not being able to go outside whenever I please.
DADDYS BIKE
This morning while I was folding laundry, I noticed the boys dissapeared. (Tyler and Matt) I knew they were out in the garage, but had no idea what they were up to. A few minutes later, they came back with these pics of Tyler on his bike. Luckily he had a helmet on. More so, lucky, that Mommy will never let Tyler have a bike of his own until he is old enough to make his own stupid decisions and probably go behind my back to do so. Hopefully, in the meantime he can learn to respect things like that, and his parents as well. Anywho, the pictures are very cute!!
