avoid the swine flu vaccine

This is just one of the reasons I will not subject to my family to this vaccine or will i even allow us to get the flu shots anymore. THey are NOT safe. Don't inject till you know everything there is to know!

This is an article i found from the world net daily.
Here is the link if you would like to read more about vaccines.

OUTBREAK!
Swine flu vaccine linked to deadly nerve disease?
Leaked letters raise fears of repeat of '1976 debacle'

Two letters from the U.K.'s Health Protection Agency to top neurologists, sent on the eve of a massive vaccination program against the H1N1, or swine flu, virus and leaked to a British newspaper, warn doctors to watch for an increase in cases of a fatal brain disorder which could be triggered by the vaccine.

Guillain-Barre Syndrome attacks the lining of the nerves, causing paralysis and inability to breathe, and can be fatal, London's Mail on Sunday reported.

The first round of immunizations is scheduled for October and is set to treat 13 million pople, giving priority to "everyone aged six months to 65 with an underlying health problem, pregnant women and health professionals."

Already, concerns have been raised over insufficient testing and lack of knowledge about the new vaccine's effect on children.

The HPA letters, sent to 600 neurologists, cite the use of a similar swine flu vaccine in the U.S. in 1976 that caused more fatalities than the influenza.

During the 10-week period the vaccine was administered, 500 cases of GBS were identified. Immunization for swine flu increased the chances of being stricken by GBS by a factor of 8. Although the vaccine was withdrawn when the connection was made, the U.S. government paid millions to settle suits by those injured or killed.

The HPA's reference to GBS has some health professionals concerned the upcoming vaccination program could become a repeat of what has become known as the "1976 debacle," despite the fact that the swine flu virus in the new vaccine is a slightly different strain from the 1976 virus.

"I would not have the swine flu jab because of the GBS risk," a senior neurologist told the Mail.

The HPA letters noted the lack of testing on the new vaccine and called on neurologists to monitor and report every incident of GBS so the product could be withdrawn if problems were identified.

Vaccine experts expressed both skepticism and alarm.

"New vaccines never behave in the way you expect them to," said Dr. Tom Jefferson, co-ordinator of the vaccines section of the Cochrane Collaboration. "It may be that there is a link to GBS, which is certainly not something I would wish on anybody.

"But it could end up being anything because one of the additives in one of the vaccines is a substance called squalene, and none of the studies we've extracted have any research on it at all.'

Jackie Fletcher of the vaccine support group Jabs, told the Mail, "The government would not be anticipating this if they didn't think there was a connection. What we've got is a massive guinea-pig trial."

GBS leaves nerves unable to transmit signals to muscles effectively, resulting in partial paralysis, primarily in the hands and feet. In serious cases, patients must be kept on a ventilator. Those who die from the disease experience paralysis of the respiratory system and suffocation.

April 22nd, was 3 years

I have to brag about the flowers Matt got me for our 3 year anniversary. I took a picture because they were so beautiful so i wanted to share it with you.

A new pup and some summer fun!

In some of these pictures you will see that Ayva is now crawling and pulling herself up to stand. She also likes to help mommy with the dishes and loves loves her new doggy.

We adopted Oreo, a 6 month old Shih tzu pup from the humane society. He was very furry and matted up but just today we got him groomed and he litterally looks like a different dog. He is very happy with his new look, as it keeps him cooler and less itchy. Oh, and now he can see too!

Tyler recently somewhat overcame being scared of the "big" slide at the park, here are some pictures of his first time...no pressure from mom.

Recently we were able to get our pool out and have some fun outside. The water was too cold for them to actually get in the water but we had fun playin anyways and watering the yard!

Ayva also had her first hand at helping me clean up doggy poo and tryin out the new puppy food. Luckily she won't remember that one when she gets older, otherwise i'd ask her how it was. Sorry, no pics of that one tho.

Some pre-easter fun!!

Saturday morning I took the kids and met up with our friends to go to the elementary school for a Childrens' Festival sponsored by Starpoint. They had everything from hat-making, little tunnels, face-painting to the giant inflatable slide. They also had these pop up cars that the kids can push around that Tyler loved. He really enjoyed the big slide. First time ever for him to actually go on one and he did great!!!

In the pic where the kids are climbing up the slide.. Tyler is the little dude in front, he absolutely would not take any help and those poor kids behind him patiently waited and he made his way up. What a trooper he is and I am so proud of him for doing this! That thing is huge and I am so glad he enjoyed it so much!

We also got camera crazy today and piled up all the bunny stuffed animals we could find and tried to take some cute pics. We will hopefully have some better ones in the next week or so but this is my handy work for now!

The last pic is one of Tyler holding his homemade dinosaur. I found a site where you can print different craft ideas and one for toilet paper rolls. Now I knew there was a reason i was saving those things!! Oh and a cute one of Tyler and Ayva on the floor.

my new fav shopping site!

So I was looking for a few things that I wanted to buy to help me in my greening quest. I was kinda shopping around to find the best deal because I hate to spend money, but I felt like this was a good investment. At the time I was looking for some stainless steel water bottles and sippy cups. Found most of what I was looking for. Well, this site kept coming up, and they kept having the best deals. Well I come to find out that this site has just about every brand you can think of that is considered chemical free, toxin free yadda yadda. Of course I am sure there are some things that slip thru, so you gotta do your research. But I have some friends that suggested this or that and I was tired of looking at one site for this and another site for that. And if I wanted to buy anything having to pay for shipping from both sites. So this was perfect, one stop shop for all my personal, household, baby, cleaning stuff. EVEN better, shipping is always 5.95 no matter how much you buy, and if you spend over $100 its free! Unless you want super fast shipping. but i got my stuff in less than a week, so bleh on the fast, expensive one.

OK OK, so it's called http://www.luckyvitamin.com/ i was just so freakin super excited i found this site. You can order in bulk for even cheaper and everything is already cheaper than everywhere else by alot. So if you are looking for something check out this site and type it in the search.

Everytime someone tells me to go to mother natures or some other health food or green store, i check here and it's usually there and cheaper! I almost bought a bunch of stuff from several different places and probably would have paid double! Seriously! I don't get anything for telling you this, that is just how excited I am about it!

I got some organic/chemical free shampoo, lotion, cleaning products, loofas, water bottles, organic apricots(inexpesive too!) and natural toothpaste and hand soap. I already feel better and I can tell my little changes lately have helped. I have been losing more weight without working out.

Oh another thing... this site will tell you everything about each product. Ingredients, uses, and reviews. Check it out seriously!

March is almost over?!

Ok, so I have found it tough this month to do much. We have been sick for over two weeks and I think we are all finally starting to feel better. Ayva has a tooth almost ready to pop thru. I just hope it decides to come sooner than later, those darn teeth take forever! Now I just hope she doesn't continue to bite and pull when I am nursing her. It's not so bad without the teeth. Ok, it is, but WITH TEETH? i don't think so darling. i'll be the one goin on a nursing strike then! By the way, Ayva is 6 months old TODAY! Wow it goes by sooo fast.

Been glad to have warmer weather. FUNNY tho, as I say that, it's snowing out. AND there is like 6 inches of snow. Where did that come from. Hey, it was just like 80 all last week?! Crazy Colorado weather. We desperately needed the moisture tho. I just hope all those seeds Tyler and I planted don't get too cold

Here are some pics I have taken of the kids over the last month!

So, Ayva decided she needed more. She was sick of starin at the ceiling, the floor or whatever was put in front of her. She also seen everyone else around her with the ability to walk and move about. So, she has decided to get those arms and legs moving and so far she has done well. No, she is not walking. DUH, but she is tryin awfully hard to crawl. about 3 weeks ago she started rolling alot better and at the same time was like OH!! i can do more! wow! and started doing what is called a leap frog move and the crab. She also does the rockin back and forth on knees. Mostly she just moves backwards which is kinda funny cuz she gets stuck. I think she will be alot more mobile soon.

About 1 month ago we also decided to start giving her a few solids. So far she gobbles up just about everything we have givin her. Started with peas, green beans, carrots, squash ,apples and small bites of random other things. Already a better eater than her older brother! I also just started giving her a sippy to drink from, or uhhum....play with. But hey, it gives me a few minutes to eat!

On March 13th, we took the kids to see Thomas and the Train live in Colorado Springs. He really enjoyed it, and so did Ayva. We hardly ever get to take him anywhere like this so it was a good time. No good pics of this, but here are a couple i took.

Today was our makeup day. After having incredibly gorgeous almost summer like weather, we got blasted with snow. These pics were taken at like 5pm. it's almost 11pm and still snowing. so you get the picture. It had just barely started snowing when we took these. Tyler was soo excited about the snow and begged to go out. I tried to to talk him out of it. He said he wanted his gloves and shoes so he could go out. Ayva was awake and I didn't want to take her out too since Matt was at work. So i bundled him up and let him play. I watched out the sunroom and screen door and he had a blast. I remember the days when the cold didn't bother me much and I would stay out till i couldn't feel my feet or hands anymore. Even as I watched the snow go up his pants and in his gloves he just kept on playing. I just can't believe he wanted to play out by himself, and it was like the happiest I had seen him in a couple days! I am ok with the snow for now. Just bring me back the warmth soon, just leave some snow for at least 1 more day for my Tyler to play in.
