New pics of the kids...

So, we are fast approaching a few important days in our lives. First, well, actually both fall on the same day. Thanksgiving, and Tylers' 3rd birthday! We will be celebrating Tyler's birthday on Wednesday with family and friends. I can't believe my little boy is a big boy now, and showing signs of boyhood. He is in the middle of potty training.. once that is finally over, it will really feel like the baby in him is gone. That part I am ok with, but I just don't want him growing up too fast now, k! Thursday, of course we will be with family and I look forward to showing off my little princess to all the family who hasnt' met her yet or seen her since birth.

She is getting her very own personality, and so far I am loving every bit of it. She is so happy and smiley and loveable. She will be a spoiled rotten little girl, but you can't spoil a baby, so it's ok. She will be two months old on November 26th. The time flies when you spend your days changing diapers, nursing, telling little boys to use the potty, and of course doing never ending loads of laundry and dishes. It's a ton of fun and I am enjoying it the best I can.

Tyler got his first cold of the season. He was nice enough to share some with mommy. So currently i am fighting it hard. I really hate to be sick while the family is here. Better me than Ayva tho.

Here are some pics from the last couple weeks.

Motorcycle pics and pumpkin carving

We enjoyed picking out our pumpkins and Daddy, Tyler and papa got the luxory of carving them. Tyler actually got his hands dirty and pulled out pumpkin seeds.
Tyler dressed up in his Thomas the Train costume for halloween and we went down to main street where the merchants were all passing out candy. There were alot of people, and he did really well. After a few blocks of walking and enough candy for a year since Tyler not allowed much :(, we went to the grandparents for a yummy dinner and surprised our friends(Tandy and her two girls) before heading home. Mommy passed out early, probably from a sugar crash!
Today we also had the kids dedicated at church. We don't make it to the service very often but we felt that this was important to have done and to try to start going when we can. They both did very good. Ayva slept thru it, and while Ayva was being prayed for, Tyler was acting up a bit, think instead of being shy like i thought he would...he was tryin to show off in front of everyone. Matt held Tyler while he was prayed for.
Luckily, we have had a longer fall than I thought we would. Last few days have been in the 70's!! So, that means nope, no snow on Halloween. I was pretty excited about that. I'm sure the cold cold weather is approaching fast. With two little ones, I dread not being able to go outside whenever I please.
DADDYS BIKE
This morning while I was folding laundry, I noticed the boys dissapeared. (Tyler and Matt) I knew they were out in the garage, but had no idea what they were up to. A few minutes later, they came back with these pics of Tyler on his bike. Luckily he had a helmet on. More so, lucky, that Mommy will never let Tyler have a bike of his own until he is old enough to make his own stupid decisions and probably go behind my back to do so. Hopefully, in the meantime he can learn to respect things like that, and his parents as well. Anywho, the pictures are very cute!!

1 month old already!

Can you belive it? Ayva is already one month old! What an exciting month it has been! I look forward to watching her grow and learn new things in the next month. Tyler is eager for his little sister to start interacting with him more and eventually start playing.

Pumpkin Picking!!!

Here are some pics of our trip to the Happy Apple pumkin patch!

Some other recent pics taken

Well, Ayva is now just over 3 weeks old! Time just flies don't it? We have enjoyed just about every minute of it! For the most part she continues to be a pretty laid back baby, except for right about the time mommy wants to go to bed. Yesterday, tho, I decided to try to keep her awake slightly more during the day and that seemed to help. I actually got some ME time before bed and she went right to sleep after she ate before bed. Last couple days, she eats around 11p.m. then gets up around 3, then again by 7. Guess I can't complain too much.
We managed to get out quite a bit this past week, including a shopping trip, just me and the kids! That actually went surprisingly well! We also, as pictured above went to the penrose Happy Apple pumpkin patch and got us 27 lbs of pumpkin! Tyler enjoyed the tractor ride and Ayva slept happily in her sling the whole time. The only part that wasn't fun was tryin to find a place to sit and eat our lunch. There were so many people there! We tried to eat outside, while matt got the hot dogs, Tyler and I found a seat. Well, just as we sat down, we watched a little boy get stung by a bee. Then I noticed several other bees around and they would not leave Tyler alone. So we moved. That didn't work, and we managed to catch one in our Apple juice. So we went back inside and sat on a bench. Ate our lunch bee free.
I am getting my hair done today. First time in several months, so i will try to post some before and after pics If i can stand to show you my long, nasty ratted hair. I always just pull it up, it's soooo much easier and it doesn't get in my face. Gonna cut it like I did last time, but since it's been so long, it will be a drastic change again.
Matt just finished working two doubles. yes that is two...so basically he went in thursday at 3pm, came home at 7am, slept for a few hours, went back in at 3, and got home this morning just after 7. and yes, he has to work again at 3. So he is exhausted, i am a bit tired since i have had no help, but i am managing just fine. Tyler is at preschool this morning, so it's kinda nice to be able to catch up on this and housework. Although i should have just went back to sleep since Ayva is napping, but that wont last long.
Happy Halloween everyone. Next post I should have some cute Halloween pics up!

Last night was so far the most trying for me. Since Ayva is just one week old and I want to nurse for as long as I can, she has not had any bottles. I do not want to give her any bottles at least for the first couple weeks. Well, last night she decided to become a bit of a night owl and keep me up most the night. Usually, I feed her and if she gets upset and I know she is not hungry then i wake matt to soothe her. Last night she seemed more hungry, and needed to nurse more, along with being a little more cranky. I am not sure if she just wanted to be held, or if the sausage and greasy french fries and pizza i had for dinner upset her little belly. Hoping that she is not getting her nights and days mixed up, and hoping to keep her awake a bit more today. Most of all, no greasy food today. I want my sleep tonight. I let matt sleep thru it all. Here is how my night went.
11p.m. last feeding before i go to bed
12:00 finally off to bed
1:30 she decided she needed to eat again. Bare in mind.. she been going sometimes more than 4 hours!
back to bed at 2:30
only a few minutes after laying down, she gets upset, so i took her and went to the couch and we ended up fallin asleep till about 4:30am
between 5 and 5:30, up again.....hungry
6:15....finally happy, and full. But sleeping in our bed.
8am ...matt tells me he is leaving to help unload wood for his dad.
~~~I luckily talked him and his mom into taking Tyler so I could catch some more ZZZs.
We slept till about 10am.
not sure how much restful sleep sleep I got, but feeling ok now. just hoping for a more restful night tonight. Hope you enjoyed the new pics!
