The waiting game>>>

Yesterday we had our appt with the doc. Not too much change and not a whole lot of excitement yet. I am at 90% thinned and about 2-3 cm dilated. I thought for sure that since he checked me it would cause some cramping and maybe a few contractions, like it did the first time, but actually it has been a very quite day.
I still have 2 weeks till i am "due." I just thought for sure with the appt we had over 3 weeks ago and his reaction to my progress that we would for sure be having her anytime. She finally turned so her back is no longer on my side causing me more pain and discomfort. So I think she is starting to get ready to come, but only time will tell what her plans are.

For those that do not know my plans for this birth...I have been doing alot of reading, researching and learning. Most know how hard my first labor was and all the meds I was on. I am going for a completely natural birth this time around. That means no induction, no pain meds,no medical intervention that is not necessary. Some people have a hard time understanding why I would choose to do such a thing. There are many reasons, and I feel that I am making the right decision. Just because something is available to you, such as epidurals and pitocin, ect, doesnt' mean that is the best way to go, the safest, nor the best thing for the baby. I am extremely excited for this birth and have the support I need from my husband.

AFter I have my little girl, I will let you know how my experience went and will talk more about the reasons I so strongly believe in a gentle, natural birth.
